A Swedish premium boxes

The Swedish airbag for cyclists is about selling a theory, a magnificent theory that works, but this means that the whole kit must communicate quality and trustworthiness. The main target group is urban cyclists who want a healthy city environment. That is why it is important for Hövding to have sustainable packaging. To match the product price the box also had to be perceived as more premium.

The new hard box is produced from recyclable cardboard, paper and corrugated paper. The design contains only three pieces and the premium quality of the box and lid is perfect to use as storage for the air bag or the lovely extra covers that can be used with this airbag.

It has a clean look and feel with only a debossed logotype on the lid, and the color of the box matches Hövding’s gray brand color. All the communication is placed on a sleeve that can easily be customized.

To match the airbag box, we also made smaller boxes in the same material for the covers. The covers have different designs, but to make the packaging cost-efficient we have used a standard box that is customized with nicely printed labels. This also makes changing the communication fast and easy.

To get full control over the packaging production, materials and quality and increase flexibility, I helped Hövding to find the right supplier and move the production to Sweden.
