Flextrus in Lund is a member of AR Packaging Group and specializes in flexible sustainable packaging solutions for food and health products. Flextrus often sends packaging material to their clients and needed a box to ship these samples in, instead of using random boxes that they found in the postal room. It should be nice, practical, sustainable and talk the brand.
The packaging samples that Flextrus produces and sends to clients are of many different sizes and materials, such as thermoformed trays, air-filled bags, sachets, blisters or printed laminates. To create packaging that works well for all alternatives and a combination of these, we made two sorts of inserts for the same box. One simple folded board that can be adjusted to lock samples in different sizes, and one sheet with hooks for flat samples. Both inserts can be used alone and together. The size is made to fit the most common shipments.
The graphics is neutral on the outside but communicates the Flextrus brand and personal approach on the inside. To save cost the box is sealed with labels printed in their own digital printer and raw material from their own lamination products are used as wrapping for fragile samples.
