Elk LIVE is a cool device that lets musicians connect online and play music together like they are in the same room. It is well branded in energetic yellow and black colors and has an intuitive user interface.

These are qualities that Elk Audio wanted to keep and visualize in the packaging. Together with a durable packaging to protect the product surface, physical design and weight, the packaging should also be sustainable and not include any plastics.

For durability reasons corrugated paper and the box constructions FEFCO 0427 was chosen. FEFCO 0427 is one of my favorite box constructions for corrugated paper. It is durable, easy to fold, comes flat to the factory, does not require any glue, can be produced in so many qualities and by all converters in the world, AND it looks GOOD!

For Elk LIVE, the artwork is kept close to the product design with the brand yellow and black colors. To keep the yellow close to the strong brand color it was printed on white top liner. Per Grimberg who designed the artwork made a terrific and cool artwork which also was a guide to how to use the device.

In the kit a small accessory bag was included from start, but to avoid a plastic bag around the product which needed surface protection, this bag was enlarged to fit the music device. So instead of a plastic bag a nice black cloth-bag is protecting the device in the box. To complete the unboxing experience the box and insert got the same black color as the bag.
